humans tend to get caught up in the daily goings on of life... we imagine that we are these superior beings whose existance is profoundly important to the rest of the universe...
humans couldn't be more wrong.
try to envision the enormity of the universe in comparison to yourself for a moment... now try without the effects of your own ego. if you are doing it right, you feel about as insignificant as a grain of sand in Saudi Arabia.
This is not to say that we cannot have a significant effect on our little world, but in the grand scheme of things, the universe would be just fine without us...
